Welcome to Incheoch

Where the river Isla leaves the rugged Glenisla and spills over the ‘Reekie Linn’ towards Strathmore before joining the salmon rich Tay, lies the parish of Kilry. And in the heart of Kilry, the McGowan family farm Incheoch and surrounding farms.  Straddling the border between Perthshire and Angus, this is truly stock country and the rolling hills of Incheoch are home to a herd of 200 suckler cows and 700 ewes, including the Dirnanean herds of Simmental and Luing and the Incheoch flocks of Lleyn and Texel.

Functional, Efficient Breeding Stock

Every challenge we face in the beef and sheep industry highlights the importance of having the right stock – genetics that will work harder to reduce costs and perform better to increase returns.

We understand that it’s the girls that are the real drivers for profitability in any breeding unit, so our females need to be functional, efficient and robust……our bulls and rams are your way into these female genetics.

The breeding program is quite straight forward:

"Sound, practical, reproductively efficient cattle with good temperaments and longevity will NEVER go out of style. “ D. Duello (1995)
